A quick history stop. Maybe a quick stretch of the legs. But haven gone to many PA State Parks in the last couple years, this is a one and done for me.
I'm traveling from out of town. I thought there might be some bike trails to ride. As I entered the parking area ther was a creepy guy smoking a cigarette waving at me. He seemed friendly so I asked him if this is the natural pothole. He said yes and followed me to the pothole. While I was looking at the unimpressive natural formation, the guy said, " you know this is a gay area." I told him I wasn't here for that. I walked back to my vertical and left.
My grandfather played here as a child before it was a state park back in the 1930s and 1940s. Great stories of a great little park, and an important part of Eynon's history. Enjoy!
I didn't find the pothole itself to be that interesting, but it's a nice place to hike and it was empty when I was there.
The pothole is an amazing thing to see to enjoy the mysteries of the world we live on. There were some beat trails, but with there were more. 15-20 min visit max.
"This is a 'gay' area," I was told.
